Data Centre World 2009 smashed all records when over 2000 visitors and exhibitors attended the two-day event at The Barbican Centre, London Attracted by over 80 exhibitors, a free conference programme with more than 30 top industry speakers and two bonus events hosted by Star and On365, the event showed that the data centre market in the UK is still booming.
"Brilliant – great potential clients and a surprisingly large amount of decision makers stopping at the stand. We are really pleased and will certainly be attending again next year. " Simon Kelf, Data Centre UK. "We have picked up loads of leads, it really was worth while." Andy Thompson, Advanced Power Technology. These were typical comments from exhibitors, whilst visitors attending the conference programme were impressed by the breadth of subjects that were covered. Sessions were incredibly well attended, with some standing room only, especially those which addressed the subjects of outsourcing and virtualization. A post show survey showed that 50% of visitors were looking to find new suppliers whilst 76% of respondents found the show excellent or good. Another interesting result from the survey showed that over half of all respondents were looking to upgrade or replace their power management systems in the next 12 months. Data Centre World, sales manager, Peter Herbert commented, "The show has established itself as the number one data centre event on the calendar and we have already rebooked a number of stands for next year. Early-bird booking rates end on the 31st March, so I would advise any interested companies to reserve their positions as soon as possible." Data Centre World 2010 will take place at The Barbican on the 23-24 February 2010. For more information contact Peter Herbert on 01923 692675 or
